Portuguese Agriculture Minister visits Terraprima

Terraprima had the honor to receive on January 25, 2023, the visit of the Minister of Agriculture, Maria do Céu Antunes, in the Quinta da França, accompanied by the Secretary of State for Planning, Eduardo Pinheiro and the Regional Director of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Center, Fernando Alves Martins, in the Quinta da França. This moment had the honourable presence of Cristina Barata, president of the Parish Council of Peraboa, and António Carriço, president of the Parish Union of Teixoso and Sarzedo.


This visit aimed the contact with R&D projects, implemented by Terraprima in its farm Quinta da França (Portugal, Covilhã), included in the Innovation Agenda - TerraFutura, in the area of sustainable animal production, and that focus on mitigation and adaptation to climate change, circular agriculture and agriculture 4.0.

The honours were in charge of Tiago Domingos (CEO of Terraprima), which was attended by distinguished strategic partners of the projects GreenBeef and GEEBovMit, including the president of INIAV, IP (and promoter of this meeting), Nuno Canada, and the director of Best Farmer (Group Jerónimo Martins Agri-Food), José Fraga.

This action took place under the Closer Government initiative, which took place in the Castelo Branco District, and aimed at a set of proximity work meetings with stakeholders, in an agenda focused on the territory in order to promote the economic and social development of the region and strengthen territorial cohesion.
